Happy Halloween!

As a reminder, Group #3 dances tonight 4 – 6 p.m. and our Group #4’s dance 6 – 7:15 p.m. I want to thank everyone who donated to our Tap Team Canada Gal, Taylor Stark! We managed to pull in over $500; well done MNG!!!! I will present this to Taylor on Thursday night when she is in to assist. If you didn’t get a chance to donate and would still like to, we can certainly continue to add to the fund before Thursday!

Have a Happy Halloween! If you’d like to share any of your Tootsie Rolls, I’m your gal!

Miss Jules

Halloween Costume Week “To Benefit our Team Canada Tapper”

We would like your help/support!

As you may or may not be aware, our very own Taylor Stark (she has been a dancer/assistant/teacher at MNG for at least 15 years) will be leaving for Riesa, Germany on November 27th to represent Canada, Ontario, Peterborough and MNG at the IDO World Tap Dance Championships; I am so very proud of her and would like to help her on this journey.

If you would like to dress up for Halloween next week (Monday, October 24th to Saturday, October 29th) and drop a minimum donation of $5 into the “Benefit our Team Canada Tapper” jar, we would be very grateful. If you don’t want to dress up but would still like to donate, that’s cool too! If you are dressing up, please make sure you can still dance in it, and for the Competitive Dancers getting measured, please be sure to keep that in mind also.

Speaking on behalf of Taylor, I know how much she will appreciate this.

Taylor is a great kid and has always been there for Move N’ Groove and her mom Patti has yet to miss volunteering backstage even though Taylor graduated from MNG 3 years ago. They’ve been committed and loyal to MNG for a very long time and this is the least I can do for them!

We will also be selling Kernels Popcorn for $2/bag if you’d like to send your twoonies along also!

Be a part of this if you wish ~ Miss Jules

Good Afternoon MNG’ers

We are looking for 2 more canes for a Hip Hop piece we are doing. If you have one you wouldn’t mind letting us borrow that would be very appreciated. Let me know via text message please. 705-768-8428

Thank you – Miss Jules

Competitive Measurements – Wed/Thurs/Fri of Next Week

Good Morning

Just following up on the measurement days and times for next week; week of October 24th. Please see below for dates and times that Brenda will be coming in to measure. We believe we have accomodated all groups while already at dance class, but ask that you make an effort to be in attendance on one of the days and times (or coming in earlier or staying a bit later) if we have not. Thanks and have a great day!

Wednesday, October 26th @ 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Thursday, October 27th @ 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Friday, October 28th @ 5 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.

Good Morning MNG!

Good Morning!

Just a few things…

For the most part, all classes seem to be running smoothly and the students are settling in.

Thank you for keeping our environment clean, tidy and clutter free by taking home what you brought with you; we really appreciate it.

Please encourage your dancer(s) to use the bathroom prior to classes and be sure your dancer is dressed for a “dance class.” You can visit the website at if you have any questions.

Thank you for “tightening up” the parking; it’s helpful for the next classes coming in and is safer overall. I do however ask that you continue monitoring your speed entering and exiting the property. A big shout out to Shelley Draper for doing this; you ROCK!

If you are a member of our MNG Social Club, I remind you we have “Movie Night” this upcoming Saturday, October 22nd at MNG from 6 – 8 p.m. and at present (this may change) we will be watching Nightmare Before Christmas. If you are not a Social Clubber, but still want to attend Movie Night at the Barn, please feel free to do so. Drop in fee is $8/person

We are heading into week #6 (almost 1/2 way through the term) so if you are a “pay by term” student, we will automatically invoice you within the next month or so unless you inform us otherwise; we do hope you continue into second term with us.

As the wet weather starts to approach, we ask that everyone remove their shoes/boots and place on the mats provided. Dancers, please put your shoes on away from the outdoor shoe area to avoid tracking dirt into your dance space.

Also, to avoid injury, please enter the studio and walk down to the bench and mat area. Please DO NOT let little ones hang around the door as we have had a few get their little fingers caught in the hinge of that steel door and it HURTS!

All classes will run as scheduled on Halloween Night!

Thank you for your time – Miss Jules

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!
Kennedy and I will be “off the grid” until Tuesday, October 11th at 9 a.m. Enjoy the little things in life and the big things will take care of themselves!

All the best – J & K
